MY STORY

Charles Bolte Portrait Circle Low Res.pn

I spent the better part of my 20s in the U.S. Army before landing in southwest Montana seeking a new direction. After six years of wandering, I came to the realization that I was into storytelling, with a keen interest in photography and audio. When the weekend is long and the weather good, you'll catch me rolling up to the trailhead—ready for the next hike, climb, or game of cribbage.

I have a BA in film and photography and an MA in journalism. I've worked with Darknet Diaries, the Confluence Podcast, Yellowstone Public Radio, Montana Public Radio, Teton Gravity Research, and Love Street Media. Also, I'm a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and Air Media.
